I have a chance to get a hold of a new steering wheel that has the audio controls. What I need to know is will this work on my truck. ie. is there a wiring harness somewhere that it plugs into? My truck has all of the options including the Infinity Stereo but does not have the controls from the factory. Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks,

Adam

I didn't think you could get the Infinity system without the steering wheel controls. Sorry I could not be of more help. :)

I have never removed the wheel on a dodge but on most vehicles you have a plastic ring with brass discs one for each button on the wheel . Each disc has a spring loaded contact that rides on it .

Unless it is wireless I think it would require a different wiring harness and different parts below the wheel. If this is the case it would be simpler to replace the whole column and get the small harness that would go from the back of the stereo to the column . As I said I have never removed the wheel from a dodge truck but I cant see it being that different . If I am wrong someone please correct me . It is hard to know for sure without having a complete wiring schematic . I hope this helps . Rich
