Steering Wheel woes:(

Hey guys need some advice. Whenever I turn my wheel in either direction it makes a creaking noise. The truck doesnt pull, but its annoying and I dont want it to lead to other problems. Any advice other than taking it to the dealer(its under warranty for the next 30,000 miles)... . thx

SA Law. When my 98 did that, it was the top universal on the steering shaft just below the master cylinder. Lube with WD 40 or similar. Also, there is a boot on the shaft. Squeeze the lower part of the boot to force the shaft grease back into the sliding shaft area. If the grease has pushed out, you may get a slight popping sound. Hope this helps. BTW mine would mainly squeak when staying in a long curve.
