Question... what is the "death wobble?" Is it a pesky vibration in the steering wheel or is it a real bad "I think my truck is about to explode" kind of wobble? I have a 2010 3500 Dually 4x4 and it has a bit of a vibration in the steering wheel. If I let go, I can see it shimmying. I can really feel it in my hands and arms when I drive it.

I've seen this discussed over the years, but I've never had the problem on previous three trucks. Now I do.

I did a search, and all I see is "death wobble" but I can't find what it really is.

What's the fix on a NEW truck? Grrr

Thanks.

Death wobble will never be described as "pesky" if you have experienced it. I would describe it more as a "Load the pants" kind of wobble. :-laf You know... the kind of wobble that requires a pry-bar to pull the seat cushion from your clenched "Cheeks" afterwards. Sounds like you might have a different issues like a wheel that threw a weight, a bad tire or any one other of many issues that can cause a slight vibration like that.

The left, front caliper started sticking on my truck. When the problem first started, it felt like the tires were out of balance. The problem got progressively worse. When I hit the brakes to slow down to stop the front end started shaking really bad. When I got out to see what had happened the brake was smoking so bad I was afraid it might catch on fire. I used my infrared thermometer (which only goes up to 500 degrees) to check the temperature of the rotor and got an O/L reading which I presume means overload or greater than 500 degrees. The dealer installed new caliper, rotor and brake pads and everything seems to be ok except now I too can feel a little something through the steering wheel.
