Do the 2006 Dodge 2500 and 3500 have Rack and Pinion steering or do they have the old gear box steering that Dodge is so famious for with the wondering all over the road ??

4x4 is recirulating ball type. 2wd is rack and pinion. I have a 4x4. It dosen't wander. 2006 and YOURS is the same set up etc. Nothing has changed uin the steering.

I drive an '02 which pretty much steers like a school bus!!! its aweful and whoever designed it should be fired, 1/4 turn until anything happens. With that said my dads 04 steers like a sports car. It is extremly quick compared to my truck. I had to catch myself as I was short cutting turns with my trailer because I had already made the turn. It is perfect IMO and exactly the way the second gens should have been built
