Hey all...

I just received this over the weekend, and I assume it is generic to Stellantis and not dealer specific. I have mostly had good experiences with my local dealer and the one who repaired my new truck when I was stuck in MT!!. I am thinking that if this is generic, perhaps its an opportunity to vent to them about how absurd it is that new truck owners are down for months, dealers cannot get parts, or have room in their service for emergency down situations (again lack of parts). I was fortunate in that the dealer in Billings took us in and happened to have a 2020 model EGR valve on the shelf.... Many others are making payments on trucks that are immobile for months. COVID I know... but this doesn't seem to be a new thing for FCA / Stellantis...

Thoughts?

Additional comments you wish me to include....:rolleyes:

This could be specific to the last dealer you got service at. Make sure you thank them for making room for you.

Yeah parts in the past were troublesome even for a seat frame on my 2003.

Getting service and parts on GM is a problem now as well. I have to wait till "next week" just to take things in for a dealer oil change. Bluntly "GOOD LUCK" getting someone in service to even answer the damn phone here. GM or RAM service.

My RV was just in the shop held up on parts for a months at a time as well.

yeah.... I had a dealer order me the NV5600 "damper" sliding yoke on the driveshaft several years back when they were doing a warranty job on my 04, almost a year later the back ordered part came in, I told them how in the h double ll could you get by if you needed the part for that long with a truck out of service! (mine was still operable just vibration)

Vendors and the suppliers that provide materials to those vendors are hurting…for materials and labor..

It’s bad and will remain so for a while yet…

I do this everyday and have for over 30 years, it is the worst I have ever seen…

Brand new truck delivered to a customer mid-July, had a defective A/C hose. Just got the replacement today…..

I've had Mercury outboard fuel pumps on order.....since May! We are ordering parts via the "crystal ball" method now. I'm stocking more items than we ever have in the past just to hedge against the future. So much for "just in time" inventory practices. Now we all know why the ammunition supply is so messed up in this country.

Pay attention to where the link takes you - and I don't mean that it's a malicious link. The company who is actually conducting it is the key to the survey. If you see that it's JD Power, then you know it's likely their Initial Quality or "APEAL" surveys. I've been in market research for 32 years, and for web surveys, we are required to identify ourselves for compliance with privacy laws. So somewhere in that survey link is the name of the survey company with a link to their privacy policy.
