Stepped up to 3G today!
Well, folks, I am officially in the '03 group now, closed on a 3500 QC LB dually 4 x 2 (yes, I know it will be crappy in the snow and mud!!). Since I bought it for dry towing ( one can always hope
) then it should be fine for our needs, we have another 4WD anyway.
Took one from inventory because I could drive it and be sure how it did mechanically, and at the moment it seems just fine. Dealer let me put about 75 miles on it. Shifted better than some other 6-speeds I tried around the area. Even not broken in the HO engine is a big step up from an SO. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like with an uprate box!
Brakes, steering, turning radius, ride..... much improved over my previous Dodges. It would be the perfect truck if it wasn't my third choice in color, but I guess I'd rather be able to touch and feel, than wait and hope.
And $1500 in December rebates plus some business incentives made the choice a lot easier!
So, off we go in search of those rare '03 accessories... ... Oo.
