While I know that this has been discussed before, I would like to know if anyone has found a step that drops down to help get in the truck. I'm not talking about the step that electronically moves, just one that sticks down so you don't have to jump into the cab. This request is coming from my 5'4" wife who is 7 1/2 months pregnant. Something about not being able to get her leg up high anymore. :D I can't find one in the local area as my choices are really limited and the dealer step doesn't really drop down enough.

Thanks

I'm looking for exactly the same thing. I would like something that actually has a drop like the ones Ford puts on their new heavy duties. They have a 3"- 4" drop and have a 5" oval platform. They're not great for off-road, but I don't get off-road that much. Besides, that's what my 4-wheeler is for. The closest I can find is the Lund StepRails and the Steel Horse Challenger steps. I'm a little concerned though because I've haven't seen any on other third gens.

Here's a link to the Lund's

After reading the original post again I realize we may be looking for two different things. I'm looking for cab length Oval step/side boards that have a 4"-5" drop while Matt may be looking for more of a single step at each door. Matt?

Hog Performance the same company that makes the SS exhaust systems, has started also making side sets. What makes them different is that they use on SS and the side steps are 4" in diameter. Where the others are 3-3 1/2". The wider step not only looks good but also provides a better more secure step to get in and out of the truck better. When my steps get old I', going with there set-up.

I like these.

They are called Warn 4Xsteps.

Matt,

Looking at those adjustable steps, do you think you'd have to drill a hole in the frame?

Kodiak Steps

I know you said you didn't want electric steps, but I have them and love them. They have worked flawlessly, and move out of the way when not in use. Something to consider.

I'm looking for wheel to wheel "nerf" bars for my regular cab long bed. The wheelbase is the same as the QC short bed but I don't think the mounting system will work. Any ideas? I want to be able to stand on the bars to reach into a camper shell with "windoors".
