I went to Wally World and purchased the Pioneer SupertunerIII, model number DEH-P47DH for my truck ($250. 00). I also purchased the adaptor plugs for seven bucks, which made the installation a snap. The two adaptor plugs plug directly into the stock connector plugs. One plug is grey and the other is black. All of wire colors from the adaptor plugs matched perfectly with the wire colors to the stereo. All I did was simply match the colors and crimp on some solderless connectors. No adapter plate was required, the stereo was designed to fit perfectly in the cutout for Chryslers and GM's. The total time from start to finish took me two hours, the hardest part of the installation was removing the instrument bezel. The stereo sounds great.
I deliberately tried to hit bumps to get the CD player to skip, and I have yet to get it to skip.
