Chrysler felt it was an issue so they replaced it under warranty.

Just thought some people on here would like to know about the potential problem.

People can look if they want or not. No skin off my AZZ.

I appreciate the heads up, but exactly what are talking about, and what goes wrong . Just haven't heard about what you are referring to.

I ran nothing but Baldwin filters and Shell Rotella oil in my 89 I had well over 500,000 miles on that engine when I sold it 18 years ago. Just saw the truck last summer still going strong god only knows how many miles on it today. I now run the Fleetguard filter only because Cummins says they the best and I also now go 10,000 miles between oil changes. Cummins says 14-15,000 is good I just can't let it go that far. So far just over 101001 miles and going strong. At just shy of 70k for a new truck why would I skimp on a filter or the oil I use? I can still get Baldwin filters, They are made here in the USA. But.... why when the factory filter is better.

REALLY???

MY boost hose was being chaffed so I put a split boost hose around it so I did not have a failure along my 1,300 mile trip. I had the Dealer look at it and they replaced the hose. As I said i am NOT the only one. Also my fan shroud was tweaked and fan blade was rubbing it, they replaced it also.

Hat to say it but you from the side guys will have to go from the TOP is you want to see if yours is doing the same.

referring to original thread miles driven / by hours do not seem correct unless you drive 140 plus mph. I must be missing something.

My EVIC hours have been wrong since the day it rolled off the assembly line. In 5 1/2 years i have only 8 idle hours?????

I call it the lie-ometer!

.......And my Cab & Chassis is speed limited to 87 mph as well.

My drive hours reset to zero on October 26th, 2018, on a delivery to Chicago.

Since I write down my idle and drive hours at the end of each day, I knew where it was when my EVIC hiccuped.

I essentially add 1,092 onto the current displayed drive hours for the correct drive hours.

My dealer and FCA are trying to work with me on an amicable solution.

140 average mph is nothing......try 3,873 avg mph.

Happy Birthday to White Lightning......

It’s currently at 314 idle hours, 2,230 drive hours, and 127,467 miles.

It’s birthday present will be in the form of six new 225/70R19.5 Firstone FD 690 Plus tires later this week (I already have the tires....just have to find the time to get them installed).

Also, attached is a screenshot from my Road Trip HD fuel app.
