My emergency brake cable is sticking or maybe the return spring is a bit weak, is there any type of lubricant for the cable it self? I'm getting tired of the blinking light on the dash.

Are you sure the cable is tight? If the cable is not under full tension, it will not go all the way off even though the brakes are released.

Mine does this all the time, I just pull up on the pedal when I release the parking brake.

You can try TCL (Track and Cable Lube). I have found this to work great. It is made by the same people who make PB Blaster.

We build industrial cables and have found that some customers try and lube the cables we build... . we stress that they only use a product that won't attract dirt in the summer and freeze in the winter...

And that to run dry is better... . Since your close to one of the most beautiful parks in the world and in those conditions I mentioned above... . I'd really suggest cleaning and leaving dry...

BTW - 2 out of 3 trips to Alaska I've seen the mountain on a clear day... . I feel very lucky...

Check for cable fraying down at the floor where the cable enters the tube and check the adjustment under the truck for looseness.
