My PAC brake occasionally sticks closed when I start up in the morning. This causes a loss of boost pressure and the truck has no power. I have been keeping going on our trip towing our 10K trailer by spaying the moving parts with silicone spray. Yesterday I had to gently rotate the activating mechanism that rotates the brake. With this I obtained boost and was able to keep on going.

Question: Is there a way to fix this problem without replacing the PAC brake?

Mine sticks because the actuator gets a little crud in it. Take it apart carefully to be sure all the springs and parts get put back correctly.

Mine sticks from carbon in the solenoid valve. All I do is disassemble it and hit it with WD40 or Kroil and it works for another 20K.
