What does 1:1 turbo ratio mean?

Team,

I've decided to cancel this do-it-yourself project. Miller Specialty Tools is letting me return the $388 Cummins Turbo Cleaning Kit. Too many bypass and rigged procedures for my comfort. I appreciate Bob and EB's inputs on this.

Since it has only happened three times for 3-4 seconds, I may try getting it pretty hot coming down a hill, then engage/disengage to see if I can get it to self clean. If not, I'll pay the dealer to do it, if it can be done.

Thanks again for the input.

Ron

Friends, I believe I resolved my sticking EB. While running on the interstate, I repeatedly let my foot off the accelerator to engage the EB, probable 30 to 40 times. I believe it self cleaned. Not sticking anymore. I guess this is something to do periodically to keep it working well. BTW, the folks at Miller Tools are great; they let me return the turbo cleaning kit for a full refund. Just thought I'd share this fix with y'all.

Take care, Ron

Give us more details, grade, loaded, speed? I always keep my EB on and while decelerating down Baker grade, at normal GVW, the traffic makes me release the throttle a lot and the EB gets a good work out. Good to know its cleaning at the same time.

I get using the EB all the time, but let the motor warm up and seal the rings a little before throwing backpressure into the combustion mix.

Friends,

I had dealer replace turbo...new reman failed test drive by freezing up...dealer installed 2nd reman turbo...hope this one lasts.
