Guys - Have an 04. 5 6-speed with ~2500 miles on it.

I think I'm seeing something funny with the clutch pedal. When I release the clutch pedal, I think it has been fully released. However, sometimes (I think), it feels like the pedal pops up another 1/2" or so.

I'm not riding the clutch with my left foot, but, occasionally feel the clutch pop up that extra 1/2" or so when my foot is near the pedal.

Don't think it's my imagination.

Has anyone else had this problem? Truck will be due for the first service soon, so, I'll mention it to the dealer.

Thanks for the help,

Mark

First you've got to test it out and see if it's just your imagination or not. Then, if it isn't returing completely it's probably binding up at the hinge or something. Remember when you take it to the dealer: the problem must be able to be duplicated by them.

Mine does the same thing sometimes-it's maybe 5-10 seconds after I take my foot off it hear it pop out a little more. I'll look and see if I can see anything.

had the same problem with my early 04. clutch master cylinder was bad. be prepared to demonstrate this to the dealer though -- you have to find a new truck on the lot and make them feel the smoothness of the pedal release compared to yours -- especially when releasing the clutch SLOWLY. if you don't they will just pump your pedal quickly a few times and say it is no problem.
