when trying to shift fast my pedal is staying depressed in the last one inch. it does not spring back so when i press in the clutch the rpms rev up. it seems like the pedal is sticking and not springing back anyone else having this problem? the problem is the worst on 4-5-6 shifts. i have read s/m similar to this on another post but it seems that it is the problem with pedal rebound not computer programming?

Are you sure the pedal is actually sticking? I only ask because this is a computer driven action on the manual trans equipped truck and has been talked about in length on a previous post.

Unfortunately it's normal.

STICKY

Common situation with the common rail. computor is slow to react. Mine has done it since new. love the truck. TBOB

CATCRACKER look under the hood and see where your throttle cable exits the firewall in front of the drivers seat. My cable runs under the driver side battery where DC has relocated the throttle position sensor. There is serious problem with the design of the box. DC is aware of the problem and is taking this design flaw very serious. One theory is that the cable is being warped from the heat off of the intercooler. My truck is doing the exact same thing but mine did it with 2 miles on the odometer (not caused by the intercooler heat). I am going in Saturday to have it removed and replaced with a temporary fix. I will be working with the mechanic closely in the shop. I will let you know what I can find out. Maybe a picture or two.

I AM WRITING DC A LETTER TO LET THEM KNOW OF THIS SAFETY HAZARD (i am letting them know so they cant say we did not know there was a problem). when i let off of the go pedal it does not bring the engine rpm (like every other car i have ever driven) down until after a noticable delay. this gives a feeling of loss of control. i dont buy that this is a common rail problem. i dont buy the throttle cable theory. i dont buy the syncro bit. dont buy this garbadge do you think dodge would make the throttle slow to react heck no safety would be compromised. the computer reads where the throttle pedal is if the pedal is slow to rebound the engine will be also. my guess this is a bad designed of the throttle cable(not due to heat). then my truck has 600 miles on it and has done it since new. this is a minor problem until you need to stop quickly and you let off of the fuel pedal and the truck not only is slow to react but surges a little bit and you smash into somone. if you have this problem send a letter to dc as i am or at least email them. i normally dont b@*ch but this is a safety issue which needs to be resolved quickly. if you have this problem let us know and lets get dodge to fix this for us. send them a letter. the key is saying that you feel this IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS BRINGS SOME RESPONSIBLITY TO THEM(DC)

still i am loving the hell out of this truck!
