stiff power steering problem

MY 95 4X4 IS HARD TO STEER AND HAS ALOT OF PLAY. I'VE PUT IN SYN. FLUID AND REBUILT FRONT END. NONE OF THIS HELPED.

I'VE GOT 150,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK. SHOULD I REPLACE THE STEERING BOX AND PUMP WITH A NEW ONE??
