Belated Thanksgiving poem...Funny

Searched around, talked to some neighbors, and then made my purchase. I gotta tell ya, this new Stihl leaf blower that I bought myself today is awesome. Oo. I couldnt be any happier. . money well spent.

Goggle search found some dissatisfied Sears owners, Stihl site had some favorable reviews (big surprise), but my chainsaw experience told me what I already figured out.

Now to put Dads old hand me down electric job on E-bay. Out of all the things that got passed down, that old electric job holds ZERO sentimental value. (Except for the memory of him blowing off the cars he just washed). :-laf

Which one did you get?? I just brought the BR550 non cali crap :D I love it I also brought the elbow for the end of the nose, holy crap my right arm is going to be big but very sore.

I have had a BR400 for about 6 years, and I love it. They are great leaf blowers and will last forever.

Having been in the brush cleanup business for 9 years, I've become a stihl fan. Husky is good, but for the equipment I run, I've been more impressed with Stihl. I use the FS550 brushcutter.

It has a TON more power/torque than the Husky 265RX's I've owned, and they're 65cc versus the 57cc of the stihl.

I have has other brands over the years, and needed to replace my chainsaw. A friend said to buy Stihl. I did and a month later went back and bought a leaf blower. When friends see how easy the start- how well they run- they want to borrow them! No, no ,I don't do that unless you have proven to me that you will take care of it.

They are 10 years old by now. Love them.

Neighbor has a Stihl chainsaw, hard to start. Used it one time, actually I tried to use it one time, wouldnt start. So... ... ... I went out and bought a Husky... ... ... . it starts... ... while he pulls and pulls and well, you get the piucture.

Good Luck with your Stihl, hope you get a good one.

Ive got two FS120 brushcutters, they are excellent for taking down sunflower stalks when using a cutting blade (similar to a circular saw blade) they also work great for small trees and such. I run them both in the spring after the snow with the "sweep" attachment to remove stones from yards that Ive plowed. again they work excellent!!! I just wished they would be about a foot wider but hey it beats raking! Ive had ALOT of people stop and ask what it is.

DM Dad has a Jonsered 47? (ill have to look) and its a good saw but with no chain break on it I dont run it!! when falling a tree sometimes Ive got to plunge the bar into the tree and w/o a brake its certain something will be cut!!!

Brush cutters: I've got a FS550. Works fine.

Chainsaws: I've had a Stihl 045 (swapped it and a saddle for a Delta Unisaw back in my cowboy-to-carpenter early-mid-life crisis  ). One of the stupidest things I ever did was selling the Unisaw when I went back to college (the carpenter-back-to-cowboy mid-mid-life crisis :-laf )

Now I have a Sthil MS031 which replaced a Husq Rancher 55. Really liked the Husq until the compression got so bad it wouldn't start anymore. I would go back to Husqy if the Stihl ever crapped out.
