<font color=blue>Yes you can do that as well. Most exhaust shops should be able to fix ya up, K_Arts is actually havin that done to his today I believe. Its all gonna depend on if you like that particular sound. Geno's Garage also sells a muffler eliminator pipe as well for $60? I don't remember. Anyhow maybe Kevin Arts will chime in on how his 3" Straight pipe sounds now, I think it was going to be less then $50 for him to have it done.

my only concern is still being able to hear my radio... does anyone have any info on being able to hear their radios after straight pipe intstallation

I sraight-piped mine after the first 3 months. If you like a little sound, then you will love it. I still like making that motor talk after almost two years. It's fun to watch small kids and adults alike turn to see whats coming when you put your foot on the loud pedal.

The resonator outlet is 4". Why not loose the factory muffler and install a 4" flow master ( or equivelant ) and get a 4" to 3" bell to go on the tail pipe and have a quiet low restiction exhaust system. ??????

Jason, why not do it yourself? You can get a 6ft. piece of pipe for $20 at a muffler shop. Have them swell both ends out. Cut your muffler and resonator off, slide your new pipe on,clamp it or weld it,you're done.

Is there any performance or mpg advantage to take the resonator and muffler off a totally stock engine? Is it just for sound? If you just take resonator off is there any less restriction? Thanks

K_arts I love it, got my first second glances and then drove through the parking lot and set off a few car alarms... #ad
can't beat that... . and i am pleasantly surprised about the noise level inside the cab... . the noise level is not at all unpleasant.

but i am going to have to have someone else drive it so i can hear what every one else is looking at #ad

Mopar_muscle, that's precisely what I'm going to do with Godzilla, if his muffler and resonator should ever happen to fall off somewhere along the road... ... . He'll get a 4" JRE straight piped system.

If ya don't like noise, don't drive a diesel! Real trucks rattle #ad
