If this "wait" is costing $, I would get it fixed and go after the reimbursement later.

What good does it do to wait if there is a chance, and in this case a good one, that the owner is going to pay the bill anyway.

You can't just walk away from it if it is not covered. Giterfixed and at least solve the lost revenue and costly out of town stay problem!!!

Once again it seems it's time to bash another guy who's bombed his truck.

This isn't just about warranty, it's about poor service, lack of response and a dealers inablity to troubleshoot a problem.

That's not how I interpreted the post.

It sounded to me like they knew what the problem was, they were just dragging their feet or having problems getting a higher authority there to say "NO".

With all those bombs, they are probably laughing at him that he is still thinking he is gonna get warranty ... ... ..... they'll wear him down :-laf

It doesn't matter what the man has done to the truck... he has been sitting with his thumb up his --- for 10 days. Its not the idea that he has it bombed to the bumper, but he is getting no reply from DC. I would be in the newspapers by now, but this guy is still sitting there waiting. Just imagine yourself in his shoes. This is why I agree with P-dog.

Why would you even think DC owes you anything after you tried to rip them off?

"Yeah, I bombed the heck out of it, but you gatta pay for it cause you garanteed it for 100,000 miles"?

I'm sure they are laughing at him like a stray dog looking for a scrap after he tried to steal the steak.

I would be.

isn't the 30000# gcvw in his sig also way over what the truck is rated to tow? that can't be helping the situation either.....

Yeah, I'm betting that's what caused an electronic injector to fail, as this engine is rated for trucks to 60,000# GVW!

LEPage,

You should post in the 911 section, you might actually find some help there instead of all this tire kicking. Warranty or no Warranty you need to get the "show on the road".

I'm there bud, not lookin' to kick tires, but I'll take all the D/C butt i can find. There is still a burden of proof that I caused the failure, and even if I'd have never touched this truck, wait for your turn out away from home & see how you like sitting for 12 days waiting for them to do ANYTHING.

I guess what some of us are saying,, you are getting "kick butt" in the way of what is right for the big picture.

I don't know what kind of living you depend on but waiting around just to prove a point is going to be a loser for you.

I would not like the 12 days either,, but rest assured I would be moving toward a solution!!! And kicking butt is not it!!!!

The only thing that I am saying that DC owes this guy is a rep to say yes or no. I'm not saying that he does/does not have a chance at a warranty. I just think that they need to quit pulling his chain about a rep coming. I agree on one thing... that he should just move on & get a engine. I don't agree with them making him wait. I understand what you are saying, but is it right what they are doing? I agree that "you bombed the truck... you pay". I would pay for anything on my truck that broke because I bombed it. The 53 block cracked because of a thin sidewall... not because of my mods. Stock trucks crack "53" blocks & not because they had a fram oil filter instead of the mopar. My block leaked coolant at 60k & wasn't detected by the dealer when I took it in for lost coolant. It was burning on the block before it was seen. I guess I ripped them off because my truck had documented evidence of coolant loss before the warranty expired. I got my first mod at 102k by the way.

They already told him no. Now he is trying to litigate the situation, that puts him at their mercy.

He needs to get a motor & let it rest. I wasn't aware that they came already. Fighting with DC about a heavily modded truck will only make it harder on us.
