Why would anybody put on an aftermarket $$$ pump because it " may help"? You follow the trouble shooting tree, do the prescribed tests and definitively ascertain what the problem is.
This problem is common and in most cases easily fixed , it requires you to call Me...or just keep guessing than call. Airdog utility pumps will not support the filtration your truck already has 2013+, (Airdog) raptor pumps do but that requires module modifications to stop the 1/4 issues., installing Add-ons (Utility pumps) with only spin-ons is backwards filtration.
The cheapest and easiest first step in trouble shooting for the OP is to go back to OEM filters first to eliminate that issue, then go further. Someone can throw alot of money away guessing, when it could be as simple as replacing a filter. I don't doubt the OP thinks the CAF's are OK, but the first step would be to go with OEM fuel filters. Then spend lots of cash.
Go delete the exhaust & egv no more Regen, no more DEF, no more EPA (Trump) krap if you don't smog. 2015 Diesel 6speed at 9500lbs that gets 24-28mpg. All synthetic oils & 80lbs stock tires.
I change fuel filters every 25,000 & all power train oils 33,000, 10,000 synthetic engine oils, Love the MPG! Sometimes I break 30mpg on so flat freeways
