for a car for the wife. I'm kinda interested in the VW Jetta TDI, with uncertain fuel prices it seems as if it might be a good choice. The milage is excellent 45mpg average is something to consider and I could always bomb that little diesel. Any opinions?????

I'm in the same predicament, been looking for a while. I'm in no hurry, the wifes Saturn still runs good. We just need a bigger car. Cramming us and our junk into the two door has started to get old. We've been looking at Honda Accords, larger Saturns and have been seriously wanting to take a drive to a VW dealership to take a look at a Jetta TDI. Bro-in-law has had a jetta vr6 and now an Audi a4. I've liked both and would consider one. Good luck, I'm sticking around to see what others think.
