I don't care what one of the add on you run. IF you don't shift it to keep the RPM up and in the power range it is going to run high EGT. High EGT is bad on the eng and will shorten the life of your truck.

Bob,

Call me and I will give you a deal on our E-Boost Street.

You can turn up the boost a pound or two, or whatever you like. The EGT's came down a little too.

The best feature is the gate pressure adjustment! You would not beleive my truck has the stock turbo the way it responds. Oo.

This unit controls the opening of the wastegate on an exact number, like 23 PSI ? It eliminates spring flutter and premature opening of the gate to bleed off boost, via the spring only. Does this unit work like the race controllers, put boost on the top side of the diaphragm, to hold it shut until the exact number has been made ?

I will give this some thought Marty.

Jr adds timing and fuel on the tow setting the timing drops the egt. With the Jr I wouldn't recommend high loads with full throttle below 1700 rpm. High torque low rpm is hard on transmission's. I shift down at 17 and up at 25. The biggest hill near here with a GVW of 25,000lbs I only need to downshift once. Twice if there is a duramax ahead of me.

Your actuator only has one port so we hold the boost from going to that port with a solenoid until you reach your programmed boost target. It keeps the gate valve shut as long as possible. Currently, your gate is comining off the seat at up to 1/2 the boost target. This creates additional lag.

Now our BIG diesel drag and puller guys control boost in an entirely different way. They use the controllers to hold the gate shut and allow the gates to open based on the backpressure in the exhaust. I have guys running 100#+ boost this way. They are running external wastegate with top and bottom ports. Nothing is connected to the bottom port.
