We have the same truck, once I got a boost gauge on it I saw I was making about 15-18lbs stock ( I think, was a long time ago). Then I got a a superchip and could make 20-22lbs. I think the HY-35 9cm ( the stock turbo on our auto trucks) are only good for about 25-30lbs and then they are just pushing hot air. A good, cheap upgrade is to get a HX-35 with a 12cm exhaust housing. They were on the manual trucks of the 01 and 02, but I think they were on just about every truck from 94-00. Once I swapped turbos I was getting 25-28lbs. I added 100hp injestors and a boost fitting and I could tap out the 35lbs guage, but i was also getting pretty hot too. Later I sold the chip and bought a TST pm3, I also got a 50 lbs gauge. I was hitting 47lbs but you could tell it wasn't really pulling hard in the top end. HX-35 are only good for about 30-35lbs. I got a PDR HX-40 and its waste gated to 40lbs, but you can tell it pulls a lot better. Although you really need enough fuel to spin it. I sold my injectors so I just have stock injectors and the TST chip, I can only make 30lbs and the truck feels way over turbo'd.
