Hi Guys,

I got my Autometer boost and pyrometer installed this weekend and have a couple of questions. I am able to get 13 lbs. of boost and 1050*F EGT under full throttle with a small load (<2,000 lbs). I am going to try a larger load tomorrow. Are these numbers correct for a 21 cm turbo? I have a 16 cm hotend, but have not been able to install it yet. Please see my signature for the current modifications. Thanks for the input.

Hello Jeremy!
My 1992 D250 has engine CPL1351 and your CPL should be the same. My Cummins manual shows that this CPL should have 31 to 39 in. Hg boost, which is 15. 23 to 19. 16 PSI. Your boost sounds a little low, but it will probably be higher with a larger load on it.

I have collected all the parts to fabricate a complete 4" exhaust with a 5" outlet, along with Power Wagon injectors, and a 16cm housing. With these modifications and a little pump tweaking, I hope to be at around 30 PSI boost.

Piers recently commented on a boost question from Bushwakr by saying that a first generation with 16 cm housing should have 21-22 PSI at not over 1100 degrees EGT. He recommended adjusting the fueling to get 24 PSI boost. This was only a day or so ago.

Good Luck in your quest for more power!
