Just got back from the first loaded trip with the 2001. 5... 1000 miles with empty(approx 4500lbs) Gneck 1000 miles loaded (apprx 12000lbs)... Great power. . but she sure liked the fuel. . ( 9 mpg loaded... 12 empty trailer. . Ouch)(I've gotten it down to 8. 5 loaded on a previous trip with lots of hills. . and a heavy foot... ;) ) Less than 2 months old... 7500 miles. .

I just got the boost guage install before the trip. . (EGT gauge, on back order:rolleyes: ) What is the max boost for a stock ETC. . (No Cat. . No Muffler) boost was about 18-19psi... How high before it sets a code, without a boost mod???

Sorry for the basic question... no problems getting more boost with the 12V... :D

Thanks. .

Bryan

My 2001 ETH/DEE has hit 22. 25 pounds of boost and the engine is totally stock. I think the max boost for the ETH is 26. I am not sure about the ETC.

Max boost was hit unloaded in 5th gear 2/3 throttle up a slight hill. I couldn't hold boost for too long because speed was too high for the road and speed limit.

Tractornut... stock boost on average should be around 19-20 psi. If you are stock, you will not over boost or get an error code ( over boost). You will simply start to de-fuel. A boost module simply fools the ECM, that your'e in the safe range which is done electronically. A boost module by itself will not let you over boost, unless you block or modify the wastegate openning on your turbo.

HeberRam is correct, I installed a Power Edge Comp box on a 2001 auto couple weeks ago and without modifying HY-35 it would only make 20 psi. My 2000 ETC would make only 20 before EZ--now I have 26 psi empty:D :D
