just curious, anyone have a stock rig with the stock clutch? how many miles have you gotten out of the clutch? more specifically with the NV5600? just curious i guess, wondering how long mine would have lasted if i never discovered the fun and joy of more power and smoke :-laf

my truck looks to have about the same stuff as yours, 117,000 miles, both clutch and transmission feel good, not great, but good enough that I don't worry about them.

111,000 for both clutch and NV5600 and have to admit smoked and smell it 3 times starting up a steep ramp to my RV pad but seems to be okay so far. Oh I had my 14,000# 5er on it and stopped and start up the ramp before thinking about it. Should have let it roll back off ramp before starting up the incline!!!

I have 3 trucks and all work... . the 04 has the most miles at 230K pulling a 20K lb trailer... and we got 100K on the first clutch... our clutch which we installed when the factory clutch failed is still in the truck at 130 K more miles...

I have a stock 1990 with 235k on it (NV4500) and just transplanted the engine and transmission into another rust free 1990 and I removed the clutch to inspect it and it was in like new condition visually and also within Cummins new spec limits. No wear on clutch, pressure plate or flywheel. The secrete is to take advantage of the Cummins low end torque and engage at idle. This truck been has been worked and grossed out at 22k with a loaded 5th wheel.

When slow speed maneuvering I use low range with the hubs disengaged to avoid clutch slippage.

92k with a lot of snow plowing, but it's not releasing the way it used to. Time to check the linkage and maybe throw-out bearing.

2000 24v

I had a 2000 24V with 223,000 on the clutch and it was still going until I put an edge comp on and turned it up a bit :D

I ask alot of my truck, but maybe I asked too much. All stock, orig clutch in truck below-- NV4500 --took a dump at ~70k. Almost 100k on the centerforce in there now, and still going strong.

I have 91K miles on my bombed 02 truck w/ the stock clutch. I have a Con OFE ready just in case I ever have a problem.
