On my truck I have slipped the clutch at 100hp over stock, that is running empty. Towing is a different story. I try to stay under 60hp over stock while towing around 23000lbs. Hope that helps . Some time I will upgrade to a south bend clutch.
Everything was fine on mine after the intake and exhaust, as soon as I put on the xillerator it would slip in 5th or 6th at anything close to full throttle. Since the clutch upgrade no problems.
I fried my clutch in 42000 with a stock truck. I got a south bend and no problems to date. This clutch i have from them will take 1100ft/lbs of torque and 450horse. I wouldn't worry about your stock clutch. Set the truck the way you want it and if you fry the clutch get a SB.
