Need some help trouble shooting a problem that just came up. I got back from vacation and found that my truck was on "E" or near it! I thought I had filled it up prior to leaving. As I drove it to work and on errands during the day the gauge started reading that it was increasing in fuel in the tank, from "E" to 1/16, 1/8, up to 1/4 etc. Not that I don't like the fuel fairy fueling me up without paying at the pump I need to fix the problem. Any help is appreciated!

try giving it a day or so.
all 3 of my trucks have done that on occasion. has always "fixed" itself after a day or 2.
If not it's probably the fuel level sender/sending unit.
also, do you still have the stock fuel filter canister mounted Lift Pump, the in-tank conversion or aftermarket with the stock sending unit?
It'll make a difference which one you have IF you need a new sending unit. and IF you can get Just the sending unit. IF you still have the stock fuel filter canister mounted Lift pump (LP). I am almost 100% sure that Mopar no longer services that particular sending unit. The only one they service is the in-tank conversion LP which includes the sending unit. You might be able to get the sending unit used if you look around if that is indeed the case rather than converting the LP to in-tank.

Thanks for the info! I will give it a few days, and yes I have the pump that's on the side of the filter. I figure if I'm going to have to go any where near the tank I may drop in lines for an Airdog and get it over with. I appreciate the time in letting me know whet it is, I 'll give it a week and see what happens then.
