Pull thecover off the AFC make sure you scribe a line around the plate so you can put it back to stock if you want to. Loosen the screws and slide it towards the front of the engine and when you put the cover back on slide it towards the front also as far as it will go. But if I can give some advice from experience call TST products and get their plate it only costs $235 and you can upgrade for free for 30 days after that you can upgrade for $50. I got the 230/605 plate with the idea if it wasn't enough I'd upgrade to 280/680. But I'm impressed with the 230/605 that I haven't done it yet. Also, get some gauges first atleast an EGT and Boost gauge. And no I'm not a salesman for TST. Also I see you have a 2003 so you must be asking about someone elses truck cause your truck doesn't have a plate am I correct?
Yes I am asking about a friend of mine's truck-95 12v auto-, I was just curious, I'm wise of the after market plates but he's a tight a** so I thought this might be a quick fix for him... It would really help if you could go more indepth- i'm not up on my 12v lingo.
AT least talk him into some gauges when I slid my plate forward the EGT's were alot higher than stock and it took longer to cool down before shut down he could end up sending more in the long run.
