i have an 05 and i removed the silencer ring on the turbo but inside the plastic tube that connects the turbo to the airbox there is a x dividing the tube into 4 sections. i didnt see a purpose in this so i took it apart reglued it and put it back it. also there is a finned plactic piece in the lower rubber elbow leading to the turbo. i left that in as i thought the rubber boot might suck closed as the plastic piece gives it all its strength. has anyone else removed these pieces and noticed any difference?
