Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) stock plate differences

Heres 2 stock p pump plates, the one on the left has a # of 24242

the one on the right has # 24171



Whats the differences between these 2 plates, HP, etc?

The one on the right is about 1/16"-1/8" shorter in height also...

I believe a 24242 is a 180hp pump plate.

I have 2 plates that look identical to your 24171 plate, but mine have different #'s, 1 is a 24021 and the other is 24009. I believe they are 160hp plates.



A 215 hp plate is a 24287.

I just looked at my stock plate today and it's #24009. My truck is 160 HP.

So far I have

160=24009

175=24021

180=24242

24287=215



Still dont know what the 24171 is I have. Theres a story behind my post, hopefully I wont have to tell it in a couple days

i bet a 24171 is a 160/175 plate also. Just a different number. Or perhaps a non 160/175/180/215 dodge pump...
