I'm looking into a Kore suspension upgrade in the future and am trying to figure out which tire I want to use. I hate my stock tires... I'm ALWAYS getting stuck in the mud with them (I know, my pickup is too heavy) but when you farm up here in the Red River Valley and it rains every two days, I don't have much choice.

Looking at the Toyo website, I like the looks of the Open Country M/T 35x12. 50x17 E10. Nice aggressive tread, higher max load rating than the stock tires (3640 lbs vs. 3190 lbs), and will bump my gearing up a little. The Toyo website suggests rim width from 8. 5-11. Isn't the stock rim only 8 wide? Will these tires fit on the stock rims? Thanks for the input.

they will fit on stock rims no problem [bfg recomends 8. 5 for the 315/70's and lots have them on stock wheels including me... ] but will those fit under your truck is a different question. . if they are dimensioned similarly to the 315/70/17 bfg's they'll fit, if they are larger in any way, you might rub...

The Toyo 35x12. 50x17 are spec'd at 34. 8" diameter and 13. 2" wide (on 10" rim)

BFG 315/70R17 are spec'd at 34. 5" diameter and 12. 0" wide (on 8. 5 rim)

The Toyo 295/70R17 will be the perfect tire when that comes out.

on my toyota 4runner i run 12. 50s on 8 inch rims and i very rarely pop them off the bead when aired down to 8psi (for rockcrawling) i like narrower rims on wide tires it forces the tire to stay on the bead and the rim is less vunerable to rocks and stuff
