Guys - Just curious - how are the standard Dodge splash guards attached to the truck? Are there already holes in the fenders, or, would you need to drill holes?

I'd like to get a set, but, at the same time, I'd rather not drill any holes into a new truck (that isn't even here yet - waiting since March).

Thanks,

Mark

I have the ones below on this truck, and I also had similar ones on my 01. 5. They worked fine for me. You do have to drill a few holes, but they are on the inside of the fender well, not outside. No big deal, and a lot less damaging than having rocks do a number on your paint.

I just got my truck yesterday (ordered May 18th). You do have to drill, but the screws have some kind of rubber on the threads. Not sure if it's to seal water from the drilled hole, keep them from coming loose, or something else.

Splash gaurds

I installed these on my 04. 5 and found them to fit very nicely. Rubber coating on screws supplied with flaps is for corrosion protection after you drill holes in the sheet metal. For added protection I also put a dab of black rtv on the screw before threading them in. Otherwise the flaps use mostly holes that are already in the truck.

I have the same set on my truck. I wish I had them during the first 500 miles. I would be alot better off in the paint chip department. I also had them on my 98 Quad cab. Don't leave home without them!

I put Huskys on mine same as mopar but without the rams head. I was going to get the mopar ones but the rams head on them was white and I did not like that. Had the mopar on my 2000 and the rams head was black. Put you some running boards on there(Lonestar Running Boards on mine) and you stop the chips. These trucks should come with splash guards on them.

The rams head on my 2004 flaps are not white... They are just molded into the flap and Black, the same as the flap.
