Tailpipe hanger broke the other day on my 92 D250. The replacement from the stealer (p/n 4218377) comes off the frame at a slightly higher angle and is too short to connect to the tailpipe.

Anybody have any better info?

If I can't find it, I'll drill out the rivets that clamp to the rubbery material (what *is* that stuff, anyway?) and use bolts to hold it together.

I replace mine a while back and the one I got work fine . I might be able to look up the invoice and see what part number is on it .

I know there was a service bulletin on the tail pipe hanger, the revised # was 52018458, it may have been superseded by now, but a stealer should be able to cross it to a current #.

52018458

Went to the stealer today to test this new number.

The part he had under this number is identical (or nearly so) to the one you get when looking at the parts diagram & list.

In other words, it's also the wrong part.

Thanks for the try. I'm going to go find some rubber (since that's what broke on it) and rework the one I have.
