Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) stock timing

i just brought my truck in today, for a head gasket change, and after its done, i'm going to bring it in for timing at a local shop, what should i have it set at in stock maybe a little advanced?

The norm is 15-16 degrees. I don't know how that will act without BOMBs though.

Make sure they do it right by finding TDC accurately not just using the timing pin as they can be several degrees off.

Biggy is right, anymore than that and you have a chance of blowing your new headgasket. Unless you are doing studs then you can do a little more.
