Hello,

I just installed a Juice w/Attitude on my 2003 Ram. My truck has 102K miles on it and the stock transfer pump. I also put a gauge on my transfer pump and I am not getting much pressure at all so I think it is about to die. My question is this..... Do I need an Expensive aftermarket transfer pump (like a FASS HPFP) to fuel the juice module equipped truck or can I replace my stock Transfer pump with a stock replacement from Geno's?

This is not a race truck. I bought the module to increase mileage and give me extra power while towing. I got the juice instead of the EZ for the attitude module and the ease of installation (gauges in the attitude)... ...

What transfer pump do I need? I want to replace now before I am stranded. Also, what pressures should I see with a stock pump. I was only getting about 2 psi now.

Thanks in advance.

My truck has run its first 300k with just a stock pump with the Edge juice w/attitude, it ran between 5 and 7 psi with the stock pumps, I bought the truck from my uncle and the very next day the lift pump died, I bought a FASS DDRP and put it on, I now runs from 17 to 20 psi. other than more pressure I can't tell any difference in how it runs. So the short answer is I think you will be fine with the stock pump with the edge, however 2 psi seems very low, when was the last time you changed the filter? My uncle had told me he would change the filter when his pressure got to around 3 psi. So you might try changing the filter and see what your pressure does, it could also be the pump going out.

Just my 2 cents worth, I certainly am not an expert.

Do you know if you still have the pump on the filter canister has it been converted to the in tank pump?

Haney,

Just noticed you are from TN, how far are you from Nashville or Tullahoma? My wife is from Tullahoma and we are headed back to see her family next week, always willing to buy a fellow TDR member lunch and have a chat if I get the chance.

Another option would be the in-tank retrofit as came standard in the 04. 5-07 trucks. My dad just got one done by the dealer for $100 out-of-pocket, they covered the rest. It'll easily keep up with the Juice; it's kept up to my Smarty cranked up for the 3 years Ive had it
