Stock turbo failure

I just thought I'd report how my stock turbo went bad. My 03 HO has always been a turbo barker. Well it killed it on Saturday. A car pulled out in front of me while I was making a smoke show for a ford. I was in 4th gear rpm's were around 1700 and boost was around 20 pounds. The abrupt cut out of the throttle resulted in a loud bark and then a whining sound. I pulled over and upon inspection found that the nut had unthreaded from the shaft and was sucked into the compressor wheel where it lodged and caused the wheel to be way out of balance. I can move the shaft up and down a quarter of an inch and there is an eighth of an inch worn off of the compressor wheel. :{

I found a replacement stocker but I think I'll buy an HTBG soon to help with egt's some. BTW I had the VA 3. 2 set on the high setting.

datsa bummer... . but it is an excuse to put a better charger on anyway...

Sucks. Gald you found a charger in a pinch. Most guys aren't that lucky!

I found a stock replacement and I ordered an HTB2 62/14 . So now my clutch will likely show it weakness.
