With DD3's warranty is on you, a complete moron will know you added power with one drive across the lot.

ANY boost module is fine, there really is no difference in them. Practical Solutions has the sheapest one new I think.

Questions on both comments:

1. Is it because of the power OR because of the smoke that the dealer would know about mods?

2. Where does the boost moduel plug in? Is it a "permanent" mod (or can it be plugged/unplugged)? Do you have to modify the turbo (with like a "boost elbow") in conjunction with the boost module?

It is the power that they will know, it is simply another truck all around with them in. They make 100HP, you can't miss that.

The boost module plugs into the MAP sensor, behind and aft of the fuel filter. It can be plugged in and unplugged easily. Yes you need to either use an elbow or a turnbuckle on the wastegate. The elbow/turnbuckle is what allows more boost to be maintained by delaying the opening of the wastegate, the boost module is the electronic part that hides the true boost level from the engine computer.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

III's alone will cause overboost? How?

Don't you need either a boost elbow or turnbuckle to overboost?

I have Bully Dog III's and mine won't go above 20psi.

No high EGT problems, I haven't hooked up the trailer yet.

Clutch problems you have to be careful in 5th or 6th at low RPM's since you can slip it at will.

I have a Comp sitting in my back seat will hooking it up and leaving it on 1x1 add more power? or ?

thanks

I have been trying to decide what size of injector to go with and am concerned about idle quaility and driveability as well as EGT's. All of the info coming from this thread seems to indicate that 3's are the way to go. I like to err on the side of caution (guess I'm gettin old) Anyone think 2's would be a wiser choice. Is there a big difference? Will be adding more mods later but don't want to end up "needing" them now due to high EGT's while towing 7000# trailer. I already have $ banked for the Trans upgrade so no need to worry about that. Afraid of a box taking out the VP44. Will wait until upgraded VP-44's are proven reliable over time before getting a box. Would eventually like to be in the 400hp range without scraping any previous mods.

Thanks

Even stock these trucks are awesome!

Go with the DD3's!

when I first started I went with 275's and the puck..... 302RWHP and a wasted clutch on my ETH

Put in a South Bend Con FE clutch and sprung for the DD3's... . 370 RWHP... . and a nasty speeding ticket.
