So whats the scoop on guys running 35x12. 50 R17 Toyo MT on the factory wheels? I beleive my wheels are 7. 5" wide and the two tire shops I called today said that I needed a 10" and the second said an 8. 5" wide wheel. I beleive guys are running these tires on stock wheels is this correct?

Stock wheels are 8" wide I believe.

Toyo recommends a minimum of 8. 5" I think, but some shops will mount them on a narrower wheel.

I have about 25K on my 35" Toyo M/T's on the stock wheels. I will get at least 35K out of them.

They rub on the control arms when doing a full lock turn, but other then that no problems.

Oh yeah, I have a leveling kit in the front.

Jcasper is right, just be prepared to adjust your pressures so you don't run out the middle of your new tires. I run 46 front and 38 rear to take advantage of all the side biting tread. I raise the rears to 50 when I tow.

I wouldn't do it if I were you. You will wear out the centers of your tread too fast and the rubbing would drive me nuts. Just my opinion. Although, I run 315's on the wider H2 rims in the winter and have no issues with rubbing or poor tread wear.

I run 37x13. 50s on the stock wheels no irratic wear... ... ... . you will be fine with the lil 12. 50s

i run toyo 35x12. 50x17 on stock wheels with a kore leveling kit. i run 40lbs up front and 30lbs in the rear, had 42k miles on them when the snow came this year decided it would be wise to change them. they would have went to 45k easy. yes they do rub occasionally when tight turning or parking, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the info. Some are saying ther stock wheels are 8", on the sticker my truck reads "rims 17x7. 5" I'm just assuming that the "stock" wheels would be all the same?

I think the door sticker says 17x7. 5 rims on all of the 3rd gens. Mine says that also. I have had six or seven different sets of 3rd gen wheels, steel chrome clad, alloys, etc. All of the OEM 3rd gen Dodge wheels I have had were 17x8. The only ones I have seen that are 17x7. 5 are the black steel spare wheels.

I ran BFG 315s on a number of different ones. I did get some cupping wear, not bad, but that is normal when running on minimun or below minimum recommended width wheels.
