i have an 03 ram 2500 CTD i would like to know how big of a tire i can run on a stock rim with stock suspention. i have seen 305/70r17s and 33/12. 50r 17s but i dont know if they are going to rub. thanks for your replies

I am running 33X12. 50X17 Pro Comp All Terrains and have not had any rubbing anywhere. My brother in Law ran 315/70/17's on his 03 2500 with stock suspension, and I believe they would only rub on a full lock turn. Think I might jump up to that size when I replace mine.

Good Luck,

Joe

My 315's only rub during full lock to the left, not the right, and with max pressure (50 lbs).

My 315 BFG ATs would rub at 35psi, but not at 50psi... at 35psi they seemed to wear/ride the best.

I've got an '06 with 35x12. 50x17 toyo m/t's on the stock rims. When turning tight, they rub on the top 4-link susp. arm. A 2" leveling kit will eliminate this. A couple people have run 37"s on stock rims with no lift and have experienced rubbing only when turning tightly as well. To clear 37's with no rubbing requires a 5-6" lift kit, or KORE's 3. 5" kit and modified 4-link arms.

My '03 would still rub even with the KORE Pace (Recon) system. It lifted it 2. 5" in the front. I had the KORE/Weld wheels and 35" Toyo's on there which are pretty close to stock in terms of offset and backspace. You might be right with the stock wheels.

JW,

I currently run 35 x 12. 5 x 17 parnelli jones, dirt grips and only have slight rub on full lock to right on upper four link bar. I also have the KORE chase suspension system(which by the way rocks!!!! Oo. :D  )
