This is crazy...

I had the rear drums turned, but now the front steering arm hits the wheels from the 00'.

Makes no sense and I was wondering if anyone ground down there steering arm to make the wheels fit?

Wheels

I believe I have read that you have to file away part of the wheel if I'm not mistaken. I wanted to do the same but was afraid to grind away anything from the wheels or drums\steering arms...

I'll stick with aftermarket wheels and FEEL SAFE.

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Well I did some grinding but they still rub. I am gonna say #$#@$ on my cool idea and put my old wheels on.

I'm not gonna grid on my steering arm anymore and weaken it.

I did it from an '01 to a '97 and had to turn about 1/16" off the unused edge of the '97 drums but had no interference at the front.

Several people have posted that they were able to get the clearance they needed by using a Dremel to grind away a small amount from a tierod end or something.

Never saw anyone say that they filed away any part of a wheel.
