Hi all, someone made off with my trailer last night, it's an 18' dual axle car trailer manufactured by PJ Trailers (there's a big sticker on the frame going to the tongue), black metal with wood deck, right side aluminum diamond plate fender, left side missing and mounts bent, left front marker light missing, white wagon wheels and a bent up South Carolina permanent trailer plate PT71750. There is also a white sticker on each side that says Richardson's Western Supply, Falcon CO.

It was stolen between 11PM and 8AM last night from Omaha Blvd in Colorado Springs, (Behind the K-Mart on Powers Blvd)

If anyone sees it, drop me a line and call the police.

Joe H

LOL... Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the trailer... Never thought it was necessary before.

I will keep my eye out for it!! If you want to PM me your phone number just in case I will call you (and the police) if I see it!

Sorry crash. Another pair of eyes is looking out for it. I'm casually in the market for one and tend to look at all gn flatbeds I see hauling cars/hay/empty.

P/J trailers are easy to spot, as is that Richardson's insignia. If it is still around, someone will see it. I figured the trailer swiping had calmed down since those jokers were caught down in Midway with all the construction trailers/equipment/burglary stuff.

Poor man's locking on these is to drop the trailer, pull your truck out, drop the gooseneck way down so they can't back into it. Remove the jack handle. Now they have to have their own jack. Put a hitch lock on it to slow them a little more. Put a Denver Boot on it for long term idleness. If ya have an emergency trailer brake (works really only with a bumper pull closer to the ground) slip the loop over something anchored to the ground so they lock the whole works up. And, just thought of this one, swap your power pin with your brake pin on both plug and trailer. Yep, you screw your truck and trailer up for others to borrow (not a bad thing), but when they plug in and leave, it'll lock things up and force them to drive without being plugged in at all. Or be meaner and route something back up their harness, maybe a flasher relay, or something, so the whole rig is flashing.

Or better yet, just put the idiots away that are stealing them so we don't have to lock everything up (which really is a stopgap and makes them go find someone else who didn't lock theirs up!).

We had to put a gate on our driveway in monument - jokers are driving around, backing into driveways, knocking on doors, and asking for directions if there is an answer. If no answer, they back into the garage and loot.

Norby--

It would be easier to make a trailer than to steal yours!!:)

Good ideas, specially about switching plugs. When all your friends find out you have a trailer, all of a sudden they need one.
