At 1am this morning my truck has gone MIA here in Charleston SC, it is a 99 purple 3/4 ton quadcab 4x4. I posted pics in the other forum as well. If it is seen, please contact the police.

I'm Sorry

I'm very sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. I've had a car stolen, and I know how frustrating that situation can be. I hope this story has a happy ending.

if the truck is found out of fuel, then they did some hellatious driving as it had a full tank of fuel..... around 400 miles of intown driving range and 500+ miles of highway range.

geez Morph- that truck has sure had some bad luck. You get the thing set the way you want it, and somebody thinks they want it more than you. Hope this all works out OK for you, I know that I for one have gotten a shot of adrenalin going. Which state is the land of Bikinis? PS. NICE website!

Well that really bites. Hope you get it back in one piece. But if you do get it back slightly damaged, insurance will pay for a paint job. :)

Major Bummer

That sucks Morph. I was thinking about putting an alarm on my truck. Now I guess I will get serious about it. Keep us Chatfreaks informed.

I just hate a danged thief  This makes me think I may rig me up a hidden mystery kill switch or something, although vehicle thieving isn't too big a problem here in the sticks.

All I can say is if we were to catch him.....

CHATFREAK BUMS RUSH Oo.

Well I may not be a sniper dude, but,I'll volunteer my services as the person incharge of "Bone Relocation Services". Morph,if ya got a pic stick it up or get it to me and I'll pass it off to some of my connections around the Charleston,Goose Creek area and see if they have seen it and can help. Lots of dudes I rode with over the years took permanent residence down there and have nastier attitudes than me about crapola like that. Let me know if I can help... ... Andy

After having 1 truck stolen, Building materials for 3 houses stolen and shop burglarized too many times to count (Only blessing about it burning down is that it doesn't get robbed any more) When someone says hidden kill switch I start thinking about things like: Electric solenoid hooked to triggers of double barrel sawed off hidden under the dash , or: 150,000 volts converting drivers seat to instant electric chair. Ought not be that many purple ones around. How close are you to a port that handle cargo containers? My bet would be that is where it goes. You might try doing some of your own investigating. I caught a the scumbag that stole my rifle out of my truck which was parked in the garage and I also caught the scumbags that stole a man's pickup from another town. Went into the Sherriffs office and raised hell till they called the guy and asked him about his truck and he says how did you know it was stolen? I knew the truck and I didn't know the scumbags running the snot out of it. Walked the road after our neighbors house was broken into and found the stuff that scumbag had tossed out the window as he fled. found enough to tie him to several other burglaries. I just took a can of upside down paint and drew an arrow on the side of the road pointing to each location so when the lawmen finally showed up they could photogragh and examine each peice. Instead they gave my hired help a bag and asked him to go collect it all for them! Sometimes I just don't think these sherriffs deputies want to get out of the airconditioning. Oo. Good luck.
