I have an Aero aux fuel tank and at the first fuel transfer the fuel will continue to siphon so the main tank is always full. This is not a real big problem but I would like to know if there is a fuel pump that when shut off will stop the fuel flow so I can figure out how many transfers left in aux tank.

Not sure how your system works - remote in-cab switch for pump or ?. If you wish to stop syphoning a simple fix could be a small ball valve at the outlet side of your transfer tank, but there also may be an "anti-syphon" valve out there that will be "automatic" and allow fuel to flow when pump is on and stop syphoning when pump is off?

Some have used a 1/2 pound back check valve to prevent siphoning. Supposedly available at local hydraulic hose shops.

Might check with Aero tanks to see if they have them.

If you can't find a dependable check valve, I've used several of them and in about 6 months the fuel freezes them and no amount of pump pressure will push them open (personallyI think the gaskets/seals swell up and block fuel flow) The best solution for me was to use a small fuel pump with a 1973 Chevy fuel tank change over valve (3 places to hook up, one in two out. Just find out which ports are open when no power is hooked up and block the outlet off and use the other. Fire the valve with the same wire that runs the pump. These valves are available at most auto parts places. I'v bought them at advanced auto and O'Reilly. When I asked for a fuel change over valve, I got the deer in the headlight look, and was told they didn't have any thing like that. Told them for a '73 Chevy C10 and they took it off the shelf

pull the pump and every thing else off of the aux tank install a 2 micron filter between the two tanks and just fill the aux tank when you see the truck tank gauge start to move
