Hi All,
A friend pointed out to me recently that my brake lights were not working. I had my rear brakes replaced about 6 weeks ago, and that was probably when the lights stopped functioning. I searched the forum, and the best I could find was to replace the stoplamp switch, which I did, but no joy on the lights.
While poking around under the dash, I noticed a wiring harness dangling around the parking brake pedal. I can't find where this would plug into. The harness is 3 rows of 4 wires.
Questions: Are the dangling harness and the non-functioning brakes lights related?
Where does the harness plug in?
If the harness and the brake lights are not connected, what else should I check to determine the cause of the lights not working?
- Note: all other lights are functioning normally.
