So I searched the threads but have not found a consensus on yes or no. I am wondering if the muffler delete voids the warranty?

I hear the muffler delete/straight pipe replacement WILL NOT void it,

I hear the cat delete WILL void it

Thanks!

Nick

i'd just ask your dealer. mine said if they can trace it back to a problem they'll void the waranty but only on the turbo, not the entire engine.

My local dealer will only void the warranty on a cat removal (due to it being an emisions item). An aftermarket muffler or straight pipe is ok.

Check this thread. John talks about the muffler delete vs. warrantee issue. Seems it all boils down to how your dealership looks at it, but it seems pretty safe.

I have a friend that has a 2006 and the dealer told him anything done to the original Exhaust system would void the warrenty... . So he took the muffler off and kinda messed it up and ordered a new factory muffler...
