3 months ago I ask those of you that had replaced your muffler with Geno's straight pipe (or it's equivalent)if you liked the change and would you do it again. I recieved several positive answers, so I proceeded with the change. I am very pleased with the change. The pipe has a nice deep mellow sound at idle, a little more bellow on acceleration, but settles down to near muffler sound level at speed. I found a 4 in. to 3 in adapter (part # 41563*255-0002)from Walker for $10. Took it to a muffler shop for the 3 in. pipe and installation at a cost of $35 for a total of $45. I add my voice to those that answered my question, my 98 12 valve runs and sounds great.

To those that may be considering the change if you don't mind a little more niose on acceleration, I recommend the change. If you have the shop clamp everything together (you'll need 1 additional 3 in. clamp) when installed, it could be easily removed. Just in case you didn't like it. Also it would be easy to resell.

Thanks to all of you that responded to my question on the muffler conversion.
