I know of several people who have been stopped by the cops (not smog gods) and they looked under the truck for the cataclysmic converter . . and when they found none. . they were warned/cited . One is still pending in court in NJ.

I still have my cat, but I took off my muffler today and was surprised that it hardly made a difference. I'm glad I did the muffler delete rather than an aftermarket muffler, because it's just barely louder than stock. It sounds real nice in a tunnel or parking garage, but just around town, it's just a hair louder than stock.

You have to be kidding everyone? I took my muffler off and man it nite to day difference. ! My old lady hates it,and alot of drone but i love it.

I removed every thing behind the down pipe and installed 4'' to a donaldson 21'' muffler with the diverter removed. From there back4'' to 5'' to a 5''single stack. no droan and a good mellow sound. Check gallery for some pictures
