I finally got new MBRP replacement muffler in. Now just wondering if I should Let kitty outside or Keep IN. I want what best for it and I don't wnat to loose any milage... I do have to go through emmissons so if it comes out I'm gonna keep it for testing only or I might try to just GUT it and put it back on Whats your thoughts on this THANKS. :)

I let my kitty out and it ran off. :-laf I personally like it w/out it. I think it helped my mileage by about . 5 to 1 mpg. That is about the best benefit I could ask for these days. Of course there is no testing in my state, if there was I'd be a little leary about removing it.

How's the sound? A friend of mine has a Ford F-250 with the 6. 0L. He has the MBRP muffler and took his CAT off. His truck sounds like an F-16 ramping up the afterburners for take off. Personally I love the sound. :p Does the ol' Cummins sound similar? Oo.

Ummmm, to be honest I don't really know. I took the cat off when I installed my MBRP so I didn't hear it w/ the cat in place. I also added a Scotty 5 at the same time, so the entire sound of the truck completly changed all at once.

In the cab it sounds good. I have never heard it outside of the cab, but I have been meaning to have someone do some drive bys so I can hear it. I can say that I LOVE the sound of it echoing off objects while the windows are down at about 1300 rpm's. I don't think it sounds as good as the 2nd gens. but it sounds much better than stock IMO.

Well I have the MBRP cat back and I left the kitty in just to see how I like it, I think its plenty loud with with it in. Along with the Stage2 PG7 its almost to loud on long trips. But if you want to let the kitty out, I have the pipe and clamp to do so, and would make you a heck of a deal.

I've already got one inbound from one of the fine vendors advertising here on the TDR but I appreciate the offer. Someone else is certain to take you up on that though! :)
