Dynomite Diesel Injectors Installed - Oh My!!

So the family and I are headed to Boise, and we stopped off in Hays, KS to have a Toff Bedliner sprayed in. This morning I started the truck up and it was loping bad... . huge miss. No codes are showing up and no check engine light. I took it to the dealer and he noticed the iss too. When the tech was done spraying my bedliner, he hooked up the diagnostic computer. No codes showed up. So he systematically shut down each injector. As each injector was individually shut down, there was a drop in RPMs, until the #2 was shut off. No drop in RPMs. So now the dealership has to call the Star Center, in order to have them approve the injector replacement. When I called my dealership in MD, my service advisor told me that currently there is a national backorder on injectors. Is this true? Am I stranded in Hays?

If it gets real bad you might post a request to buy someone's used injectors (if I had some I would ship them to you). You might even have to call some junkyards! I know this does'nt sound appealing for a nice new truck, but, I'm used to doing the foot work when I'm at the dealer. Just trying to help

Fred, I live about 55 mi. from Hays, if I can help give me a call. My cel# 785-658-5734. Even if I can't help, I can help pass some time.

Sorry it's taken me so damn long to post a final on this thread. Long story short, Lewis Chrysler/Dodge diagnosed a #1 and #2 injector failure, but couldn't get the parts from the Star Center in time, which would have caused me to miss my own wedding, which wasn't going to happen. Lewis assured me that they would do everything they could to get the parts, by the time we rolled back through. They still hadn't gotten the parts, when we passed Hays, so we kept going. When we got back to MD, Shaefer & Strohminger Dodge took the truck, reflashed the ECM per the TSB (my truck has one of those CTD's with the old program) and I haven't had a problem since. Thinking about this really pisses me off. I went from 21MPG to 13MPG, and I can't help but think that, had Lewis Chrysler/Dodge taken the time to find the SN on my engine block, they could have saved themselves and me the headache.

Larry I didn't have internet access, after I posted, but thank you for your offer for help. It's comforting knowing that truck owners out there are willing to help their fellow truck owners.
