Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Strange Leak

Anybody ever get a leak not at the transfer case seal wher the drive shaft yoke slides in but wher the yoke connects to the driveshaft. I dont see any holes or cracks but the yoke is dry and the universal has a transmission fluid drip on it and i can see its bee spraying onto the under carriage. anybody ever have a yoke crak on them?

Mine hasn't leaked there but I have seen it happen on other makes. There is a rubber spline gasket in there, maybe its not doing its job. I doubt the flange is cracked but I guess its not completely out of the question. See if you can get a new gasket or just goop it up real good with silicone after a good cleaning under the nut/washer.

Nut ? Washer? Theres one on the end of the yoke after that flywheel looking thingie?

yeah, there will be a big nut holding the flange/yoke on. I'm assuming you are talking about the front output from the t-case?

Yes mine leaks again... ...

I had my drive shaft rebuilt and mentioned the leak.

They said it leaks around a plug in the end.

I could not afford to buy a new one so I asked them to weld it.

It still leaked.

I just cleaned it really good with brake cleaner and siliconed it up real good.

It's been leak free for 50k miles
